Menopause is a complicated life transition that encompasses many aspects of a woman's life. Physiologically it is when the ovaries stop producing hormones and no longer ovulate. This is a time that not only has physical symptoms but also many phsycological transitions associated with it. Menopause effects many organ systems; Women commonly explain having temperatire regulartion changes with hot flushes and flashes, as well as mood changes, sleep disturbance, fatigue and changes in libido and sexual desire.
